My Story:

I was inititaly trafficked at the age of 8 years old by my mom’s boyfriend. I eventually was able to leave “the life” at the age of 17 years old with the help of a family I had recently met and some close mentors.

I met the Lord at the age of 13 when I ‘accidentally’ gave my life to the Lord at a summer camp, and then rededicated my life to Him a year later at a horse camp.

It has not been easy, but the Lord is faithful to restore what the enemy has taken from me. Upon leaving trafficking, I had no family to rely on and a small group of support people to get me by. I struggle with nightmares every night that I would most of the time, face alone.

I longed to be a part of a family. To be a daughter, with a mom and a dad, maybe some brothers and sisters, but at the age of 18, I had to give that dream up. It was at the age of 20 that I moved in with a family for a year of bible schooling at my church, 5 months in, they asked to adopt me.

I now have a mom and a dad, 5 brothers, 1 sister, 4 sister-in-laws, and lots of little nieces and nephews. I am blessed beyond belief.

But I know, that those girls are still out there being trafficked just like I was. I am here to be a voice for the voiceless and proclaim that there is freedom for those who call upon the name of Jesus, and that if we stand together, we can fight to end human trafficking.

Listen to my latest podcast interview:

Sharing my story with a women’s clinic located in Seattle, Washington.

“Brea Burnett spoke at an event for us in October 2023 on the controversial topic of sex trafficking. Her presentation effectively captivated the audience, as she shared her personal experiences with over a hundred people from her own community. Brea has a natural ability to speak clearly, and passionately with a calm and peaceful voice. We received multiple comments that her presentation was the best from the panel. We will call on Brea to speak at future events on this topic. It is a topic that many don’t want to hear or have difficulties with, but we must talk about it to know how each of us can keep our families safe and how to help in the fight against these horrific acts.”
